Discipline Office

The Deans’ Office at Chaparral High School is here to assist teachers and students with creating and maintaining a positive, productive climate and culture at our school. Please feel free to contact the Deans’ Office with any questions or concerns.

Notice Of Student Searches

Students are hereby informed that they will be subject to search when they enter campus after the beginning of the school day. This includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized returns. This notice does not exclude personnel, however, from searching a student at any time should there be reasonable suspicion of wrongdoing.

Tardy Lockouts

Students are expected to be on time to class every day, every period. When a student is tardy to first period the student must attend lunch detention. Failure to show for lunch detention will result in Required Parent Conference (RPC) status. In order to be reinstated to school, the student’s parent(s) must sign them into school the following morning. All subsequent tardies will result in the student being RPC'd.
When a student is tardy for periods 2-7 students will follow progressive discipline steps.

Electronic Devices

Students may only use an electronic device before school, during passing periods, at lunch, and after school. Once a student enters a classroom all electronic devices should be put away. The first time an electronic device is confiscated from a student it will be returned to the student at the end of the school day. The second time and thereafter the electronic device must be picked up by a parent/guardian from the Deans’ Office.
